Storyboard

For this week project we were broken in to groups where we plan our opening scene using storyboard, there are 4 members in our group and since it was 2 minutes we decided to each have 30 seconds of the scene.

For my part I did the first 30s of the opening scene where the opening screen is dark with sounds of beeping/monitor then it fades into establishing shot of the woods some parts of the first 30s with voiceovers, diegetic sounds, shots/transitions like ground level, straight cut, crosscut, tilt and pan.

Carl has the 2nd part, Janelle has the 3rd part and William has the last part of the Opening scene.

The main plot of the story is a surgeon who made a mistake during an operation and during that time lost his mind. There are internal monologue of him and flashbacks of what happened during the surgery.

To add, people think he has killed his patient on purpose, he will discover that he is a psychopath and he does not care for no one. Then at the ending there will be a friend of the patient attempting to kill the surgeon.

I will be acting as the patient, William will be the surgeon, as for Janelle and Carl they are extra but closely working on production and script.

We also settled on outfit ideas (scrubs, scrub cap, mask, snorkel mask, beat-up shoes) and props. We decided that most of the filming would take place in a park and the surgery scene would take place in a classroom, with long curtains or pieces of paper to cover parts of the background. We also agreed that, if possible, we would require some form of bit light for the operation scene; but, if necessary, we may add that effect through editing techniques.

Here our storyboards,
